Aria & MJF: What’s the story?

MLW.com

One of the more shocking situations we’ve seen on MLW: FUSION over the past few months took place on last week’s episode. While Maxwell J. Friedman has been feuding with “Bad Boy” Joey Janela for months, he’s also been making what many felt were inappropriate comments and advances on Janela’s girlfriend Aria Blake.

But what’s the real story here? Why did Aria Blake turn on the Bad Boy on last week’s show?

For those of you who may have missed it (see the video clip above),  MJF and Janela were battling for Friedman’s World Middleweight Championship in a falls-count-anywhere match. Blake was always near the action, but it seemed as though she was supporting Janela, as usual. With the Bad Boy looking for a celebratory kiss after scoring with a backdrop on the entrance way/stage, Blake clocked Janela with a bottle. That shocking action allowed MJF to score the pinfall on an incapacitated Janela.

Friedman and Blake then shared a passionate kiss as they stood over the limp body of the Bad Boy.

But why did Blake turn on her boyfriend? How long have MJF and Aria been planning this scheme? Was it an impulse decision? Blake and her bright red hair and punk rock attitude seem to be in diametric opposition to MJF’s silver-spoon-in-his-mouth, well-off background. So, does she see something in MLW’s resident Ivy Leaguer?

Looking for answers to these and many other questions about this situation, MLW.com has been attempting to get in touch with both MJF and Blake since last week’s show. Aria is not answering phone calls or returning messages, despite persistent rumors that she’s holed up in the Hamptons with MJF.

Friedman’s representation finally returned a message to MLW.com, but said they were strictly forbidden to speak to the nature of any relationship their client may or may not have with Blake. When pushed to answer if the two were together, MJF’s reps simply said “No comment” and disconnected from the call.

Will Blake appear with MJF at War Games on Sept. 6 in Ft. Lauderdale? Will we find out more about this relationship? Stay tuned to MLW: FUSION Friday nights at 8 p.m. ET on beIN Sports and continue following updates to this story on MLW.com and our social media channels.
