PHILADELPHIA — Saturday night at 2300 Arena, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor made this city “Filth”adelphia. Lawlor became the new World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Low Ki live on beIN SPORTS during SuperFight presented by GoDaddy.
While the early portions of the match went back and forth a bit, the tide may have turned when Low Ki brought a door into the match from underneath the ring. As he tried to put Lawlor through the door, Low Ki put his fist through the door.
The champ managed to recover long enough to get Lawlor tied up in the ropes long enough to deliver a vicious double stomp. That stomp led to a near fall, but the champion could not put Lawlor away. Low Ki looked to tap Lawlor with a dragon sleeper, but Lawlor had it well-scouted, reversed it and locked in his own rear naked choke. Low Ki had no choice but to tap.
