Jacob Fatu eyes destiny with upcoming championship fight

The undefeated 300 pound Jacob Fatu is set to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship on July 6. (buy tickets)

The outsider has rampaged through Major League Wrestling ever since debuting this spring. Dominating opponents in singles and tag team competition, the “Samoan Smashing Machine” has not been knocked off his feet let alone faced an opponent that has challenged him.

Now, Fatu looks to capture the most coveted championship in the league as he faces “Filthy” Tom Lawlor July 6.  Will the versatile Polynesian powerhouse be too much for Lawlor?  Will Lawlor’s versatility as a brawler, grappler and MMA fighter enable him to out scrap the massive challenger.

The consequences of this championship title fight are signifiant.

What happens if Fatu wins? With the championship in CONTRA Unit’s possession, the league would be in uncharted territory with an outsider having in control of the belt.

For this reason alone, Lawlor has been training in Las Vegas and New England extensively all month as he readies for a war where defeat is not an option.

Will Fatu capture gold and complete his mission for CONTRA Unit? Will Lawlor successfully defend the World Heavyweight Championship for the fourth time?

Find out live on beIN SPORTS Saturday night July 6 at 9pm ET as MLW and beIN present KINGS OF COLOSSEUM: a special live prime time event from Chicago’s Cicero Stadium (buy tickets).
