Richard Holliday defends Caribbean Championship on private island

MLW.com can confirm the Caribbean Heavyweight Championship was successfully defended over the weekend on a private island in the British Virgin Islands out in the Caribbean Sea.

Flanked by the Dynasty and an array of gorgeous women watching on from luxurious beachside cabanas, Holliday defended the title on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson’s private island paradise.

The Dynasty’s publicist confirmed Holliday pinned Edwin González in 9:03 on Saturday night with the Market Crash (a gut-wrench powerbomb).

Necker Island is just about as exclusive as it gets.

Located in the Caribbean Sea with just a few private luxury hut homes all owned by Sir Richard Branson, the Dynasty were personally invited to enjoy the posh getaway.

Holliday and the Dynasty join the likes of Kate Winslet, Tom Brady, Princess Diana among others as guests of the chairman of the Virgin Group on his elite island at sea.

The outing served as a reported team healing experience where Hammerstone and MJF squashed their beef.

Following his first title defense, Holliday along with MJF, Hammerstone, Gino and their friends partied the night away poolside and on the beach.

This title bout follows a bold proclamation where the disputed Caribbean Heavyweight Champion Holliday vowed to never defend the title in Puerto Rico.

Holliday defeated Savio Vega in Dallas a few weeks ago on FUSION. Following the match, Holliday quickly grabbed the belt and along with MJF walked off having stolen the historic title. MLW and the Sports Ministry of Puerto Rico still recognize Savio Vega as the rightful Caribbean Heavyweight Champion.
