A year ago today then National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone did the unthinkable: dethroning Jacob Fatu and taking the World Heavyweight Championship before a sold-out crowd in Philadelphia.
In doing so, Hammerstone would be the only fighter in MLW history to be a double champion, winning the World Heavyweight Title and never losing the National Openweight Championship.
