Hart Foundation

Few in the history of the sport have created the headlines, controversy and buzz as Teddy Hart.

A charter member of the new-era Hart Foundation, Hart has returned to MLW driven to make the most of a second chance at greatness in the sport.

One of today’s most gifted grapplers, Hart is an eccentric and volatile third generation member of the Hart family.

The nephew of Bret “Hitman” Hart and Owen Hart, Teddy began wrestling as a youngster in Calgary alongside Davey Boy Smith, Jr. By the time Hart was just 17, he had inked his first major contract.

An innovator with uncanny agility, Hart is an outspoken, unpredictable loose cannon. So much so that he has been labeled both the black sheep and “black Hart” of the family. But talent is talent and Hart has an unlimited supply of it, which is readily apparent when the bell rings.

Debuting in MLW in 2004, Hart has competed all over the world. And controversy has followed him at virtually every turn. While some would argue that he IS the source of that controversy, Hart isn’t afraid to be the straw that stirs the drink and conjure up attention to promote himself and his matches.

Teddy also isn’t shy about his feelings about the American media claiming it has wrongly vilified him and his family with “fake news” narratives.

Hart plays by his rules, breaks wrestling code, has redefined pro wrestling and fears nothing in his path. That combination will either make or break his second chance in the majors.

You love him. You hate him. You don’t know what to expect out of him next. He is, “the Loose Cannon” Teddy Hart.
