MLW announced today that Olympic wrestler Jeff Cobb has come to terms to wrestle for MLW: One-Shot at Gilt Nightclub in Orlando, FL on Thursday night October 5th.

Competing in the 2004 Olympics, the former freestyle light heavyweight turned pro wrestler is one of the most sought after competitors in professional wrestling today.

His opponent for MLW: One-Shot will be announced soon.

“There is a line of guys who want to test themselves against one of the most dominating athletes in the sport. Jeff is a beast. He can suplex a man across the ring and smother him on the ground. MLW is looking for the kind of high-level athlete who can hang with a world class Olympian,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer.

MLW: One-Shot’s card thus far feature:

Ricochet vs. Shane “Swerve” Strickland

MVP vs. Sami Callihan

Jeff Cobb vs. TBA
