SPOILER ALERT

Low Ki made history in spectacular fashion last night as he defeated the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Shane “Swerve” Strickland in Orlando before a shocked crowd.

Shane “Swerve” Strickland has taken on some of the best in the world including the likes of Pentagon Jr., Ricochet, Jimmy Havoc and Matt Riddle but in his third World Heavyweight Title defense, the emerging franchise for Major League Wrestling faced an unexpected fight strategy from the Brooklyn born fighter in Low Ki… and it cost him dearly.

Low Ki defeated Shane Strickland with the switchblade kick in a back and forth contest that was arguably the most physically intense title fight in league history.

Per league rules, if a challenger wins a championship prior to other upcoming fights signed prior to winning the belt, the new champion will defend against his existing opponents.  Therefore, Low Ki will defend the title for the first time against John Hennigan at next Thursday’s New York City event. Reports from Strickland’s camp indicate Strickland entered the title fight with an injury which happened under suspicious circumstances.  More information on this incident is expected to be revealed on tonight’s episode of FUSION.
