How is the legendary luchador physically holding up after the brutal assault by Low Ki and Promociones Dorado? That’s the question many concerned fans, friends and colleagues have been wondering and tomorrow in prime time we’ll finally get an update.

Konnan has confirmed he will give his first comments since the violent ending to last week’s title fight on MLW Fusion Friday night at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on beIN SPORTS.

Konnan’s return to the ring was supposed to be a homecoming that he along with his fans, friends and family would remember forever. While that surely will be the case it is an unsettling memory most will not look back upon and celebrate.

In the closing moments of the title fight, with Low Ki seemingly on the ropes, Promociones Dorado exploited the latitude afforded in a no disqualification bout.

Violently attacked by Ricky “El Sicario” Martinez, Hijo de LA Park and Low Ki, Konnan founds himself in dire straits while LA Park took out Pentagón Jr. backstage.

As the broadcast came to a close, Salina de la Renta introduced a foreign object believed to have been an improvised weapon. Low Ki would go on to use the weapon, jabbing it into Konnan repeatedly. Fortunately “Filthy” Tom Lawlor intervened with Promociones Dorado fleeing before Konnan could be further injured.

Since last week’s savage attack, Promociones Dorado has been fined a total of $45,000 with more sanctions by the league possible.

How is Konnan doing a week later? Never shy for speaking his mind, the hall of famer will candidly discuss the incident as well as Promociones Dorado and a war that seems far from being settled.
