As senior officials meet to determine disciplinary actions pertaining to Salina de la Renta’s on and off involvement with CONTRA Unit, the league has put a hold on the originally slated January 6 special the Promociones Dorado empresaria was set to produce.
MLW.com has learned that MLW does have a contractually binding agreement with Promociones Dorado for 3 specials to be produced by the Latin American collective.
“We legally have no choice but to participate in this special but the details of how that will work will be determined at a later date,” said an anonymous league official.
League officials have been carefully evaluating the allegations brought forth by Konnan against de la Renta and continue to examine evidence gathered. The investigation is now in its second month.
A source close to the investigation has confirmed a ruling on the fate of Salina de la Renta will be made before the end of the year.
