Today marks the 2 year mark of the reign of Alex Hammerstone as the National Openweight Champion. Hammerstone claimed the title June 1, 2019 in Milwaukee on a live FURY ROAD special, closing out a tournament featuring a who’s who from MLW.
Fast forward 2 years later and the mighty Hammerstone remains the only wrestler to have ever graced wearing the championship.
With impressive title defenses against the likes of Davey Boy Smith Jr., Marufuji, T-Hawk and countless others, the #1 ranked pound-for-pound grappler remains determined to make the third year of his reign all the more historic.
This was 2 years ago today.
