MLW isn’t finished with Chicago. Not only is the league coming back in November, but they have pavement to ride before Battle Riot VI with Fury Road! The action starts off hot with Brett Ryan Gosselin taking on Jake Crist!
MATCH 1
Brett Ryan Gosselin vs. Jake Crist
Crist is quick to get to the action as he immediately goes on the offensive against Gosselin. The WTF Superstar is taken off his game with a running kick, then a baseball slide and then an Asai moonsault. Chicago is fired up as back in the ring, Crist leaps off the top, but BRG kicks him in the gut. Some running elbows in the corner, then a short-arm clothesline for a near fall.
The cockiness of BRG gets the better of him eventually as he takes plenty of time to gloat. Crist jabs away at BRG and nails a clothesline, but BRG pokes him in the eye and nails a spear. However, Crist catches him with a backslide and it’s good for the 1-2-3.
WINNER: Jake Crist
Post-fight, BRG is irate and attacks Crist relentlessly, trying to escape the loss. Officials go to attend to Crist as BRG walks to the back.
MATCH 2
AKIRA vs. Bobby Fish
Quite the battle of styles between Fish and AKIRA. Both men mat wrestle until Fish changes the pace with some strikes. AKIRA does a dragon screw over the second rope and then hits a diving standing elbow strike.
Fish changes the tactic by focusing on AKIRA’s leg. He incorporates his boxing ability into his strategy, but AKIRA catches him with two exploder suplexes. Fish then follows up with an exploder suplex of his own into the corner. AKIRA then hits his lifting reverse DDT for the 1-2-3!
WINNER: AKIRA
Post-fight, AKIRA goes to shake the hand of Fish, but Fish flips him the bird and walks off.
Backstage, David Marquez is interviewing Matt Riddle as he draws his number for Battle Riot. He also puts a “party favor” in one of the balls for a lucky entrant down the line.
Back in the ring, we see Alex Kane enter who is issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back. Up pops on the screen is AJ Francis, who makes it known he’s not in Chicago. He says they do have their man A-Game in attendance.
Kane charges at A-Game on the entrance. He then hits an exploder suplex on the outside before rolling A-Game in the ring
MATCH 3
Open Challenge
Alex Kane vs. A-Game
Kane hits a massive Mark Of Kane suplex, before he cinches in a Fade To Back and chokes A-Game out.
WINNER: Alex Kane
Mr. Thomas approaches MSL who was on commentary. Thomas rolls him in the ring as he and Kane are are ready to unleash pain when Francis pops up again and challenges Kane to a “ritual combat” match at Battle Riot VI. Kane accepts, making it known he will take Francis out to take control of the BOMAYE Fight Club.
Mads Krule Krugger says that Matthew Justice and SGC have a grave waiting for them and Justice’s grave is ready.
MATCH 4
Falls Count Anywhere
Mads Krule Krugger vs. Matthew Justice
Justice still doesn’t’ have Bill Alfonso at his side as it was Krugger who took Fonzie out last week during Azteca Lucha.
Justice literally fights through CONTRA with a barbed wire baseball bat as Mads Krule Krugger leaps and dives over to take out his soldiers and Matthew Justice!
Not long until weapons are introduced as extra ring boards are broken and bodies nearly are too. It’s Justice doling out the pain with boards, chairs and cookie trays.
However, matters get REAL bloody when he introduces what can only be described as grating plates. He sticks one on the chest of Krugger and then on the already bloody forehead of Mads! Kurgger is unphased and chokeslams Justice!
Justice and Krugger fight to the top of Cicero Stadium with the fans and Justice cracks Krugger with a chair, but it’s Krugger who tosses Jjustice off a balcony and through a table. Krugge crawls down and pins Justice.
WINNER: Mads Krule Krugger
Post-fight, CONTRA brings out a bodybag but Justice fights back against Krugger and SENTAI Death Squad members. It’s six on one as they brawl to the back!
After a commercial break, we see Krugger and Justice brawling in the bowels of Cicero when a kick comes out of nowhere – it’s Janai Kai! The Featherweight Champion has pledged her allegiance to CONTRA Unit!
MATCH 5
World Featherweight Championship
Delmi Exo vs. Zayda Steel vs. Miyu Yamashita vs. Janai Kai (c)
There’s just chaos in the opening of this fight as all three challengers gang up on the champ. They all deliver running knees and Miyu sends Kai to the outside. The allegiance breaks down between Zayda, Yamashita, and Exo.
Miya and Delmi square off before Kai and Zayda get involved. Zayda wants to form an alliance with Kai who strikes her down, literally and figuratively.

Zayda is the primary target for Kai before Miyu and her duke it out with kicks. Delmi catches them both with a shotgun dropkick from up top!
Ultimately, it’s Kai who catches both Miyu and Zayda in reverse sleepers to which Zayda taps!

MATCH 6
Sami Callihan vs. Matt Riddle
Justice vs. Kruger isn’t the only match of the night to have it’s fair share of the fight occur on the outside as Callihan and Riddle do the same. Callihan goes to spit on his hand and strike Riddle, but Riddle ducks and Callihan hits the ring post. The brawl carries on. The match finally goes into the ringa nd so does the violence as Sami papercuts Riddle in between his fingers and toes!
The bell finally sounds for a match, and Riddle immediately hits a knee strike! He hits a running broton but gets tripped up on the apron.The fight goes back to the outside. Both men find themselves down on the ground after Riddle hits another knee strike. They barely answer the twenty count back in the ring. Right hands and forearms are exchanged. Riddle is on a roll as he hits a somersault Broton from up top. It’s a near fall!
Riddle goes for a cutter but Sami pulls the ref in his way and the official gets hit with it. Sami cheap shots Riddle and hits a Cactus Driver. He covers as another official runs in: 1–2- no!
Sami doesn everything to take out Riddle as he bites Riddle’s big toe!
Yet again, the fight goes to the outside and never gets back in as the official calls for the bell!
NO CONTEST
We see Bad Dude Tito looking for Salina de la Renta. He barges in on Duran who threatens Tito with a blade. Tito tells Duran to keep his head on a swivel.
It’s main event time.
MAIN EVENT
MLW World Heavyweight Championship
1 Called Manders vs. Satoshi Kojima (c) (with Okumura)
The challenger and champ shake hands when the bell sounds. Both men struggle to take one another off their feet. Well, KOJIMA does before offering Manders a shot and the Cornbelt Cowboy uses his collegiate football background flatten Kojima!
Both men strike one another on the outside but the strikes continue in the ring as it’s Manders who uses Kojima’s machine gun chops in the corner! Kojimad downs Manders hard with a DDT and makes a tight cover: 1-2-no!
Kojima attempts a cutter but no dice and Manders nails KOJIMA with a lariat! 1-2-no! Doctor Bomb! 1-2-no!
Soon, Kojima hits a Cozy Cutter! 1-2-no! Kojima charges at Manders with a massive lariat and he can’t keep Kojima down! Kojima fires back with a lariat of his own: 1-2-no! Kojima hit’s a second one this time with some distance behind him and it’s good enough for the win!

Manders still shows Kojima respect after the fight by handing him his title, Out comes CONTRA Unit. The Sentai Death Squad aim to take out all three men as Mads Krule Krugger comes out with Janai Kai. In comes Matthew Justice and AKIRA as it’s absolute anarchy as the entire roster comes out and brawls right before Battle Riot VI!
