Major League Wrestling (MLW) is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to create dynamic, high-impact visuals that enhance our programming and promotional content. This role demands creativity, technical skill, and a deep understanding of how motion design can elevate the storytelling and energy of professional wrestling.
Responsibilities
- Graphic Creation: Develop intros, outros, bumpers, lower thirds, match graphics, and other on-screen elements for MLW programming.
- Content Development: Understand the MLW brand identity and create innovative designs that capture the intensity, drama, and style of the sport.
- Software Proficiency: Use tools such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and—ideally—Cinema 4D or Maya for 2D and 3D animation.
- Collaboration: Work with MLW producers, editors, and creative teams to ensure a cohesive visual style across all content.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects at once while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced sports entertainment environment.
- Communication: Clearly convey design ideas and incorporate feedback to refine and perfect final assets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Strong 2D and 3D animation skills; advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Knowledge of Cinema 4D or Maya is a plus.
- Design Skills: Strong grasp of design principles, typography, and color theory, with an ability to create visually striking graphics under time pressure.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to take creative direction and provide constructive feedback.
- Experience: Previous professional experience in motion graphics—ideally within the sports or live entertainment field—is strongly preferred.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio of motion graphics work is required for consideration. Applications without a portfolio link will not be considered.
