Title change in Dallas!

DALLAS — A new era has begun in Major League Wrestling. Tonight at FIGHTLAND, Templario defeated Ikuro Kwon to become the new MLW World Middleweight Champion.

For the first time since April 5, the prestigious Middleweight Title has a rightful holder. This marks Templario’s first championship in MLW, and the luchador wasted no time showing why he belongs at the top of the high-flying division.

The road to the crown wasn’t without chaos. CONTRA Unit did their damndest to continue to hijack the belt, with the SENTAI Death Squad attempting to interfere on Kwon’s behalf. But in a shocking twist, the legendary Don Gato emerged, serving up some Mexican justice and keeping the fight honest. With the odds evened, Templario soared to victory.

MLW President Cesar Duran praised the new champion after the match:

“Templario will be a great champion. Only the fiercest, most spectacular challengers will step forward to face him. The fans deserve a division of pure innovation, pure intensity, and unmatched spectacle. This reign does not simply begin — it ushers in a golden age for the World Middleweight Championship.”

Ikuro Kwon, however, isn’t going quietly. Furious after his defeat and Don Gato’s intervention, Kwon has vowed revenge on the tequila-slinging icon and warned Templario that this isn’t the end of their war.
