Riddle has signed Killer Kross’ open contract, setting the stage for Kross vs. Riddle II.

The open contract has been signed.

On the two-hour premiere of MLW FUSION, Killer Kross declared during a press conference that he was putting out an open contract for a future MLW World Heavyweight Championship fight.

The challenge did not stay open for long.

Alex Hammerstone rushed to sign the contract and insert himself into the title picture, only to be stopped by MLW Insider Rich Bocchini with breaking news: someone had already beaten him to it.

That someone was Matt Riddle.

Riddle slithered in and signed the open contract first, securing his shot at Kross and setting the stage for Kross vs. Riddle II in the weeks ahead on MLW FUSION.

The last time Kross and Riddle collided was this past November in Charleston, where Kross choked out Riddle in a brutal encounter between two men who know each other all too well.

Kross and Riddle were once great friends and training partners, bonded by years of respect and shared sacrifice. But championship gold has a way of complicating even the strongest alliances.

Now Kross has the title. Riddle has the contract.

And after what unfolded on the FUSION premiere, their next fight feels inevitable.
