The eternal shadow of one of professional wrestling’s greatest legends, Black Tiger is darkness given form beneath a black-and-silver mask.

For generations, Tiger Mask stood as a symbol of honor, courage and fighting spirit. But every legend casts a shadow. Wherever Tiger Mask emerged, Black Tiger followed, an adversary created to corrupt the symbol, destroy the hero and prove that darkness could overcome the light.

The iconic Black Tiger mask first appeared in Japan in 1982 and has since passed from one dangerous warrior to the next. Across different eras, the mask has been carried by world class competitors from around the globe, including Mark Rocco, Eddie Guerrero, Silver King, Rocky Romero, and Tomohiro Ishii. Different men. Different generations. One dark legacy.

Black Tiger’s offense reflects that lineage, combining the speed and precision of Japanese junior heavyweight wrestling with the aerial danger of lucha libre and a vicious instinct all its own. The signature Black Tiger Bomb can end a match without warning, driving opponents into the canvas with devastating force.

For more than three decades, Tiger Mask IV carried the light while Black Tiger remained an ever-present threat. When Tiger Mask IV retired, an era ended… but the shadow did not disappear. Without the light to contain it, the darkness was free to rise.

Black Tiger no longer exists simply to follow Tiger Mask. The mask has found a new purpose: spread the darkness, desecrate the ideals Tiger Mask represented and establish Black Tiger as more than a rival—as a force capable of consuming entire legacies.

The identity beneath the mask is secondary. The mission is eternal.

The shadow never left. Black Tiger has risen.
