Southern promoter disputes outcome of title bout

Following the outcome of the Von Erichs/Dirty Blondes World Tag Team Championship bout at Kings of Colosseum, southern promoter Col. Parker is demanding the league review the match.

The southern blowhard has gone as far as to demand the match be thrown out. Even more shocking is that Parker wants the titles stripped of the Von Erichs. His solution? The Dirty Blondes be placed in a sudden death World Tag Team Championship match against a team Parker and the league mutually agree upon.

Parker’s beef is that the referee lost control of the match and allowed it to continue to be contested despite Ross and Marshall Von Erich taking the fight outside the building. Parker contends that it was a ploy by the Von Erichs to ensure the Dirty Blondes would be “injured and diminished,” thus ensuring a win for the defending champions.

The league has reviewed the request and denied any wrongdoing by the referee. The office of Wrestling operations suggested Col. Parker take up his grievances with the athletic commission, which assigns state licensed referees to matches.
