The renowned “Luchador Japonés,” will be in action this Thursday evening in New York City. The match will take place during the 7 pm taping and will air at a later date.
Okumura, a two-time MLW World Tag Team Champion, returns to the Big Apple in singles competition.
Originally from Osaka and now based in Mexico City, Okumura began his storied career in 1994 in Japan, representing both All Japan Pro Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. In Mexico’s esteemed Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), he became a decorated star—capturing titles such as the CMLL World Trios Championship with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Taichi.
Since joining MLW, Okumura has continued to prove his mettle on the international stage. Now a two-time MLW World Tag Team Champion with Kojima, he brings championship-caliber talent to every showdown.
