Philadelphia hosted a powder keg of a Fusion as Opera Cup dreams collided, a bear trap entered the equation, and the road to Saturday Night SuperFight took a dangerous turn. With the November 7 pay-per-view looming, “The Rude Dude” Matt Riddle punched his ticket to the semifinals, Killer Kross agreed to a potentially catastrophic championship gamble, and ZAMAYA delivered a chilling reality check to Shotzi.

LaBron Kozone Calls Ballgame on Diego Hill’s Opera Cup Run
Two Carolina standouts. One semifinal spot. Absolutely everything left in the ring.
Diego Hill and LaBron Kozone opened Fusion with a blistering Opera Cup quarterfinal that pitted Divebomb’s spectacular aerial arsenal against the Ring Warrior’s frightening strength. Their history made every exchange mean more: Kozone had helped Hill early in his journey, and now his former student stood between him and the next round.
Hill attacked the opportunity at full throttle, unleashing a twisting DDT and soaring to the floor. Kozone answered with the kind of power that makes opponents reconsider their career choices, catching Hill out of the air and delivering a devastating burning hammer.
But the final word belonged to the Ballgame Lariat.
Drawing on the destructive lessons passed down from Stan Hansen to Satoshi Kojima to Kozone himself, the Ring Warrior flattened Hill and secured the victory. Hill’s tournament ended in Philadelphia, while Kozone advanced toward a semifinal collision with Austin Aries.
Trevor Lee Answers Yota Tsuji’s Challenge
Yota Tsuji wanted a fight. Trevor Lee volunteered to give him one.
Following a challenge from the New Japan Pro-Wrestling standout, Lee stepped forward to welcome the IWGP Heavyweight Champion to MLW at Saturday Night SuperFight. The Southern Crown Champion made it clear he sees November 7 as an opportunity to test himself against one of the most formidable competitors on the planet.
Chicago now has another first-time collision with international implications—and Trevor Lee intends to make his introduction unforgettable.
ZAMAYA to Shotzi: “I Chose My Prey”
Shotzi thought she had found an ally. ZAMAYA had a very different interpretation.
As Rich Bocchini interviewed the undefeated powerhouse, the MLW Women’s World Champion arrived to acknowledge their shared enemies. Shotzi praised ZAMAYA’s dominance and thanked her for the help.
Then came the response that sucked the warmth out of the entire conversation.
“I did not save you. I chose my prey.”
With two sentences, ZAMAYA turned a potential alliance into a warning. Shotzi may have enemies coming from every direction, but the undefeated predator standing beside her made it painfully clear that gratitude buys no protection.
Riddle Talks Aries Into a SuperFight Title Defense
Austin Aries had already crowned himself Opera Cup winner in his own mind. Unfortunately for him, Matt Riddle was within earshot.
Calling himself the “Phantom of the Opera Cup,” Aries gloated about costing Místico his chance at a third tournament victory and dismissed the remaining field as future runners-up. That brought out “The Rude Dude,” who challenged the champion to put his National Openweight Championship on the line before the tournament could settle their differences.
Aries initially tried to shut down the conversation. Riddle kept pushing, the insults got sharper, and the champion’s ego finally took the wheel.
Aries accepted: November 7, Saturday Night SuperFight, championship on the line.
Riddle’s response? A satisfied “Thanks, bro.”
The challenger got exactly what he wanted. The champion now has to live with it.
A BEAR TRAP?! Wolfgang and Mark Coffey Snare Beastman
When 347 pounds of Beastman collided with Wolfgang, Philadelphia got a heavyweight demolition derby. Then the Glasgow Boys found a way to make it even uglier.
The Stone Age Savage battered Wolfgang and appeared to have victory within reach, but hesitation over making the cover gave GBOT an opening. With Kim Chee pulled into the ring and the referee’s attention diverted, Mark Coffey introduced an actual bear trap.
Beastman was snared. Wolfgang followed with a spear. Three seconds later, the Glasgow Boys had stolen another victory.
Later, GBOT poured more venom into their rivalry with the Good Brothers, revisiting their sickening assault on CJ Gallows and mocking the teenager while desecrating his gear. With the World Tag Team Championship Chicago Street Fight approaching, every fresh humiliation adds another reason for Gallows and Anderson to arrive looking for blood.
Masha Challenges ZAMAYA
CONTRA’s newest soldier has selected a formidable target.
Masha Slamovich confronted ZAMAYA, questioned her claim to being the division’s most dangerous fighter, and demanded that she prove it. ZAMAYA’s response was immediate: name the place.
The place is Saturday Night SuperFight.
Undefeated destruction meets CONTRA’s campaign of conquest on November 7. Neither woman sounded remotely interested in backing down.
Killer Kross Gives Dijak a World Title Shot—and Rocks the Skyscrapers
Killer Kross is putting his championship reign through a meat grinder.
After last week’s brawl with Josh Bishop spilled into the streets of Philadelphia, questions swirled about the World Champion’s condition. Kross answered by agreeing to defend against Dijak just 48 hours before his scheduled Last Man Standing showdown with Bishop.
Waivers? Releases? Kross was prepared to sign whatever it took.
The decision also exposed friction inside the Skyscrapers. Bishop and Dijak argued over who deserved the championship opportunity, with Dijak invoking his pinfall over Kross and Bishop insisting that he called the shots.
Now Dijak gets first crack at the gold next week. Bishop’s SuperFight plans—and the entire World Championship picture—could be upended before Chicago even arrives.
Tessa Blanchard Sends Keyra a Warning
“The Undeniable Diamond” is approaching her MLW debut with supreme confidence and zero interest in lowering expectations.
Addressing Keyra in English and Spanish, Tessa Blanchard acknowledged her opponent’s accomplishments before declaring that they operate on different levels. Blanchard pointed to her worldwide experience, history-making achievements, and victories over elite competition as evidence that her name carries its considerable weight for a reason.
Keyra brings the fire. Tessa promises to show her the difference between wanting to be the best and being the best.
Their answer comes November 7.
Místico Is Coming to Saturday Night SuperFight
Fusion also delivered major news: Místico is heading to the pay-per-view.
What does the lucha libre icon have planned? Rumors from his camp suggest gold could be on his mind. With Chicago approaching and the championship landscape growing more volatile by the minute, his arrival adds another enormous question to an already loaded night.
Riddle Blasts Through CONTRA and Into the Semifinals
Austin Aries had a front-row seat for the main event. Matt Riddle gave him something to worry about.
With the champion joining commentary, Riddle battled CONTRA’s Concrete Dragon, Ikuro Kwon, in a hard-hitting Opera Cup quarterfinal. Kwon attacked with vicious kicks and targeted Riddle’s bare feet, while Aries offered a running soundtrack of insults, unsolicited strategy, and declarations of his own greatness.
Riddle absorbed the punishment and fired back with an exploder suplex, Broton, and penalty kick. Then, in a flash, he uncorked the spinning backfist.
Kwon went down. Riddle got three. “The Rude Dude” advanced.
At commentary, Aries made a telling mental note: dodge the backfist.
He had better remember it. Riddle is chasing the Opera Cup—and on November 7, he is coming for Aries’ championship.
