We’re just over a week away from One Shot in New York City as tensions continue to rise between the BOMAYE Fight Club and the World Titan Federation, but even moreso between Matt Cardona and Alex Kane.

We see Cardona with Steph De Lander and he claims himself to not only be the Deathmatch King, but the King Of New York. He doesn’t plan that changing at One Shot.

MATCH 1
Thumbtack Pit of Death Match
Cannonball vs. Jimmy Lloyd

At ringside, there sits a full bed of thumbtacks and the only way to win is to send your opponent crashing into it. It’s going to be a tall order for Jimmy Lloyd to fight through the powerful Cannonball, but having the deck stacked against Lloyd has never slowed him down before.

Cannonball however, levels Lloyd hard with a lariat, turning the talent inside out. It’s not long before he smashes Lloyd’s face in the thumbtacks! Lloyd later finds revenge by jamming Cannonball’s paw in the bed as well.

The two fight towards the back and right as they enter the backstage area, here comes Rickey Shane Page to ambush Lloyd. Thankfully, in comes Akira has he brawls it out with his former tag partner!

Back from break, order is only somewhat restored as we see Lloyd battle it out on the apron with his massive open. It takes not one, not two, but three hard chair shots to send Cannonball crashing through the bed of tacks and we have a winner!

WINNER: Jimmy Lloyd

It’s official: in two weeks time Tony Deppen returns to MLW as he goes one on one with Nolo Kitano. One can only wonder how Kevin Blackwood feels about Deppen being let back into the league after the heinous attack left Blackwood out with injury.

While Deppen is coming back, another fighter has to leave. Last week was ol’ Mance Warner’s last appearance and we see Manders all kinds of disappointed that Cardona cost him his good buddy. Fear not, as we see the first appearance of “Masked Good Brother #3” who oddly enough, dons the same dudes as The Bucksnort Brawler. Brother #3 immediately shares a beer with Manders as the former recounts all the places and people he’s wrestled. Something rings a bell about this guy but can’t quite put our finger on it…

MATCH 2
Wasted Youth vs. The Mane Event vs. Lucky 13 and Austin Luke

Mane Event prove that they have more experience in MLW as they waste zero time at going on the offensive. Both Jay Lyon and Midas Black utilize their chemistry by throwing Austin Luke into Lucky 13. However it’s Black who doesn’t find himself lucky as Lucky 13 catches him with harsh high knee after a leap frog from out of the corner.

There’s plenty of action in the fight, but Wasted Youth make the most of the opportunities overall and it allowed Marcus Mathers to hit a 450 splash for the hard-fought win.

WINNERS: Wasted Youth

Post-fight, Joe Dombrowski catches up with the winners as both are very grateful for the fans’ reception. It made their decision a lot easier for them as they revealed that MLW was the place for them to fight. Dombrowski said that Wasted Youth is here to stay!

We get a deeper look at Alex Hammerstone returning, but no longer with MLW. He’s now a WTF Superstar and when he’s with Tom Lawlor, MSL and the newest prodigy, Josh Bishop. They’re ready to take on BOMAYE Fight Club in the main event tonight and Hammerstone tells BOMAYE they’re gonna show them what a real faction looks at.

Someone else who is ready for a fight is Rocky Romero. He’s got a storied rivalry between Mascara Dorada, but this time the World Middleweight Title is on the line and it’s going down at One Shot.

MATCH 3
Zayda vs. Gia Scott

Both women look to advance in the ranks of the Featherweight division and Zayda tries to establish an offense by cinching in a headlock that she aims to hold on. However, Gia shows her quickness and pops Zayda with a lariat, dropkick and corner back splash combo. It definitely catches Zayda off-guard, but she gathers herself to catch Gia with a pin in the corner and her feet on the ropes.

WINNER: Zayda

Post-fight, Dombrowski is in the center of the ring ready to interview Zayda until MSL comes out putting everything to a halt. He so happens to have a contract for Zayda to sign to become a WTF Superstar. She uses MSL’s back to do exactly that and she skips off as WTF’s first “Federette.”

We see the World Champion, Alex Kane. He’s got some direct words for Cardona and makes clear he can’t run or hide once they hit NYC for One Shot.

Then we see a friend of Matt Cardona’s, fellow WTF Superstar, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor. He’s ready for the main event tonight and says BOMAYE even has a man trying to emulate him because he’s the “real Mr. Thomas.”

Speaking of, it’s main event time.

MAIN EVENT
BOMAYE Fight Club (Mr. Thomas, J Boujii & O’Sheay Edwards) vs. WTF (Alex Hammerstone, Tom Lawlor & Josh Bishop)

WTF clearly had a gameplan going into the fight as they targeted BOMAYE’s newest member, J Boujii. Lawlor locks him in a sharpshooter as Bishop tags in and stomps away on the speedster. He then hits two massive bodyslams.

Lawlor pulls a page from the book of “attitude” and hits a Bronco Buster on Boujii. Then it’s time for Hammerstone, his first set of action since coming back. He shows his brute strength by holding Boujii up high in a gorilla press. Mr. Thomas finally gets the tag and clears house. Not only that but he does an amazing leaping senton over the top rope to WTF!

However, Hammerstone manages to get J Boujii isolated once more and ends the fight with the Nightmare Pendulum.

WINNERS: WTF

WTF tries to take advantage of the win and keep the attack going on BOMAYE. This brings out Alex Kane, but a plan is in place as Cardona attacks him from behind. He sends him hard into a ring post and the planned attack continues, but with a focus on the champ. However, the tide does turn, and it’s Cardona who gets caught. Kane hits an exploder suplex and Cardona bails! It’s evident that Kane is all ready for One Shot!
