MLW.com

The Blood King survived. The Skyscrapers imploded. And Josh Bishop left a trail of destruction just 48 hours before the biggest fight of his career. From a sold-out Philadelphia, MLW Fusion delivered a World Heavyweight Championship showdown, a monstrous Opera Cup collision and a final, violent stop on the road to Saturday Night SuperFight. Big Damo advances as CONTRA robs Odyssey

The Opera Cup quarterfinals opened with a collision powerful enough to shake the foundations of the arena. Big Damo and Odyssey brought more than 700 pounds of super heavyweight fury into the ring, with the Big O determined to eliminate another CONTRA soldier after defeating Okumura in the opening round.

Odyssey absorbed the Beast of Belfast’s punishing offense and came roaring back, throwing Damo around with astonishing power. A massive splash had CONTRA’s tournament hopes hanging by a thread—but Josef Samael had no intention of allowing a fair conclusion.

With Odyssey drawn to the floor and Damo occupying the referee, Brick Savage struck. The ambush left Odyssey struggling to beat the count, and Samael added one final act of sabotage by tripping the big man as he fought to return. Odyssey’s fingertips were practically within reach of survival when time expired.

Damo advanced by countout, setting up an Opera Cup semifinal against Matt Riddle. CONTRA moved another step closer to seizing the historic trophy, leaving Odyssey with every reason to demand payback.

JUMBO demolishes two opponents… and demands more!

MLW reinforced the ring. Joey Martinez and Breaux Keller probably wished someone had reinforced them.

The 400-pound JUMBO overwhelmed both opponents in a handicap match, swatting away their attempts at offense before turning the contest into another spectacular demolition. Keller was tossed across the ring, Martinez discovered that courage offered little protection against a human avalanche, and JUMBO stacked the bodies to claim the victory.

Then came the warning: “I’m hungry.”

Two opponents had barely satisfied the Big 400. With JUMBO demanding more competition, the question facing MLW’s roster grows larger by the week: who can possibly stop him?

The Good Brothers and Glasgow Boys reach the breaking point

The Glasgow Boys have made their rivalry with the Good Brothers viciously personal, and they found another way to pour fuel on the fire.

Confronted by Rich Bocchini, GBOT flaunted the blood of CJ Gallows as a sick trophy and boasted about the attack on Doc Gallows’ son. They even declared they would do it again.

That brought the Good Brothers charging into the confrontation. With tempers boiling over and bodies needed to keep the rivals apart, Philadelphia offered a preview of the hatred heading to Chicago.

At Saturday Night SuperFight, the World Tag Team Championship will be on the line in a Chicago Street Fight. For Gallows and Karl Anderson, the chance to punish GBOT now carries a price far beyond championship gold.

Samael unleashes a warning for ZAMAYA

Josef Samael also turned his attention toward the undefeated ZAMAYA, making it clear that her dominance had attracted precisely the wrong kind of attention.

The Serpent declared that he had given Masha her target. CONTRA’s Russian soldier now marches toward Saturday Night SuperFight with orders to destroy Major League Z.

ZAMAYA has bulldozed every obstacle placed before her. In Chicago, her unbeaten record meets Russian Dynamite—and Samael believes he has found the weapon to bring her down.

Matt Riddle calls Austin Aries’ bluff

Austin Aries’ confidence remained as towering as ever. The National Openweight Champion dismissed the remaining Opera Cup field as competitors fighting for second place. Aries specifically singled out Kozone and Matt Riddle, among others, while declaring the tournament his to win.

Riddle was ready to test that confidence immediately.

The Rude Dude confronted Aries and challenged him to defend the National Openweight Championship before any potential Opera Cup meeting. Aries accepted, promising to embarrass Riddle at Saturday Night SuperFight.

Both men remain in the hunt for the Opera Cup, but their first reckoning comes in Chicago. One championship. Two enormous egos. And neither man willing to give an inch.

Templario conquers a spectacular triple threat

With Don Gato watching from his throne, Templario, Soberano Jr. and Ikuro Kwon unleashed a breathtaking three-way collision of lucha libre, ruthless striking and personal resentment.

Kwon arrived with Okumura and a collection of masks, dropping his trophies at Don Gato’s feet in another calculated insult to lucha libre. Once the bell rang, the Lucha Hunter looked to exploit every opening as Templario and Soberano renewed their own rivalry.

Templario answered with extraordinary power and aerial precision, including a dive that wiped out both Kwon and Okumura. Soberano matched him with spectacular flight, while Kwon remained a constant threat to steal the victory.

Okumura’s interference complicated the closing moments, but the Lion Warrior refused to be denied. Templario scored the decisive pinfall over Soberano, earning a standing ovation from Don Gato.

With another major victory secured, Templario heads toward Saturday Night SuperFight, where he will join Titán against Último Guerrero and Black Tiger in an international tag team showcase.

Killer Kross submits Donovan Dijak to retain the World Heavyweight Championship

The entire complexion of Saturday Night SuperFight hung in the balance when Killer Kross defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Donovan Dijak.

Before the main event, Rich Bocchini confirmed the league’s contingency plan: should Dijak capture the championship, he would defend it against Josh Bishop in Chicago. Bishop’s opportunity was guaranteed. The identity of the champion was anything but.

Dijak attacked that opportunity with a cold, deliberate strategy, slowing the pace and punishing Kross while a thunderous Philadelphia crowd rallied behind the Blood King. When the challenger confronted Scarlett Bordeaux, she stood her ground and struck back. Kross followed with a furious response, but Dijak continued finding ways to cut the champion down.

A chokeslam and a vicious discus boot brought Dijak dangerously close to championship glory. Kross survived both, fighting back with a DDT, a crushing clothesline and a German suplex that kept his reign alive.

The champion then connected with the Diamond Cutter and Doomsday Saito. But when Kross loaded up the Kross Hammer, disaster struck: the blow accidentally caught the referee.

Dijak immediately capitalized with a low blow.

With Kross hurt and the official down, Dijak shouted for Josh Bishop to bring a weapon. He called again. And again.

Bishop never came.

The delay proved fatal. Kross cinched in the Kross Jacket, an official reached the action, and Dijak tapped out. The Blood King remained World Heavyweight Champion—but his night’s most shocking development was still to come.

Josh Bishop destroys Dijak as the Skyscrapers implode

Josh Bishop finally appeared after the championship match, and Dijak greeted him with a furious public dressing-down.

The self-appointed captain of the Skyscrapers berated Bishop for failing to follow his orders, blaming his partner for the collapse of his championship plan. With Philadelphia raining down chants reminding Dijak that he had tapped out, the challenger kept pushing.

Then Bishop answered.

The Intense Icon seized Dijak and drove him down with the devastating Exit 187. Weeks of resentment erupted in an instant, and Bishop had no intention of stopping there.

He brought out a table.

In the arena synonymous with extreme violence, Bishop delivered another thunderous statement, sending Dijak crashing through the wood as the Philadelphia crowd erupted.

The Skyscrapers had come apart. Josh Bishop stood in no man’s shadow. And with Killer Kross waiting in a Last Man Standing World Heavyweight Championship fight, one question loomed over Saturday Night SuperFight: how does anyone keep this monster down for ten seconds?
