Social Media Coordinator

Major League Wrestling (MLW) is looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Coordinator to drive fan engagement across our digital platforms. If you have experience in social media programming, content creation, and copywriting within the sports or entertainment space—and are excited about bringing compelling content to life—this may be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll be working closely with various teams to ensure our social content resonates with fans, showcases MLW’s rivalries and talent, and aligns with broader marketing and organizational goals.

This is a paid position.

Location: Remote.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day content production and programming for MLW’s flagship social media channels, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok.

  • Pitch and generate original content and copy tailored to each platform.

  • Optimize content for each channel and ensure all social posts meet best practices and strategic objectives.

  • Curate live content during televised events, driving real-time fan conversation and engagement—especially on X.

  • Oversee content calendar management, approvals, and serve as a liaison to internal teams on social media best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, photography, editorial, and video production—to produce daily content.

  • Monitor social media performance, track relevant trends, and analyze data to continually improve strategy and output.

  • Implement paid social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook and Instagram, aligning these efforts with overall marketing objectives.

  • Write copy that is accurate, on-brand, and requires minimal editing.

  • Stay current with MLW programming, storylines, talent, and products to inform content development.


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media programming, ideally within sports, entertainment, or television industries.

  • Proven background in content creation, copywriting, and social media collaboration.

  • Strong editorial judgment and a track record of publishing compelling content independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with content management and publishing systems (e.g., Meta Business, Facebook Creator Studio, X Media Studio).

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and thrive under pressure.

  • Willingness to work non-traditional schedules, including nights and weekends.

  • Impeccable grammar and diction.

  • Familiarity with analytic tools for tracking performance and reporting metrics.

  • Working knowledge of MLW programming and talent is mandatory.
