The Skyscrapers’ reign was hanging by a thread.
With Bishop Dyer digging in his heels and playing hardball in contract negotiations, the reigning MLW World Tag Team Champions found themselves in jeopardy after holding the belts since June 2025.
MLW owner and CEO Court Bauer finally made his decision: by the end of MLW FUSION on the Fourth of July, Donovan Dijak had to select a new championship partner… or relinquish the MLW World Tag Team Titles.
All night long, Dijak felt the pressure.
Without Dyer, the future of the Skyscrapers looked uncertain. Dijak appeared to have no answer, no solution, and no clear path forward. Things got a bit awkward when he later crossed paths with Teddy Long, the manager of the original Skyscrapers, who took Dijak to task over the Skyscrapers’ legacy and what it truly means to carry one of the most dominant names in tag team wrestling.
Then came the main event.
Donovan Dijak collided with “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson in a hard-hitting, bad-blood showdown between two men who simply do not like each other. Anderson weathered the storm and scored the victory, but the celebration lasted only seconds.
That win was violently stained in the aftermath.
Josh Bishop stormed onto the scene and unleashed a brutal beatdown, revealing himself as the newest member of the Skyscrapers. In one shocking moment, Dijak’s crisis turned into a calculated escape plan… and the MLW World Tag Team Titles remained in the Skyscrapers’ possession.
