What does the future hold for the World Tag Team Champions?

The Lucha Bros. — Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix — are two of the top-ranked, most popular professional wrestlers in the world. MLW.com is now comfortable reporting on what has been a great deal of rumor and innuendo about their future.

The highly-publicized split of the Lucha Bros. from Promociones Dorado incensed Salina de la Renta.

The ruthless impresaria of Promociones Dorado has been hinting at cooking up some possible shocking deals in an effort to wrest control of the Lucha Bros. business dealings. But Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix have retained the services of long-time friend and adviser Konnan.

Sources tell MLW.com that de la Renta believes she may have worked out a deal that Penta and Fenix can’t turn down. It seems if Promociones Dorado can’t manage those holding the tag team gold in MLW, de la Renta wants to be sure that nobody does, including Konnan.

If de la Renta can broker some sort of deal that takes the Lucha Bros. out of MLW, she and those in her employ may have an easier path to bringing back that gold to Promociones Dorado.

Of course, there’s a more personal piece to this, as well. Salina wants revenge on Konnan for exposing her not-so-talent-friendly contracts. She would love to hit Konnan where it hurts – both in the wallet and in his pride.
