Matt Riddle begins his first Opera Cup campaign against Mark Coffey on MLW FUSION this Thursday at 8 PM ET, streaming free on Tubi. A quarterfinal berth awaits the winner, but “The Rude Dude” must account for more than the bruiser standing across the ring.
Joe Coffey and Wolfgang will be at ringside, giving Glasgow Boys On Top every opportunity to make Riddle’s tournament debut an unpleasant one. Coming off a punishing New York City Street Fight, Riddle now faces a group with little interest in giving him a clean path forward.
Riddle’s devastating strikes, explosive suplexes and submission arsenal make him a threat to anyone in the field. Against Mark Coffey, however, he will need to balance that offense with the awareness to avoid whatever trouble Glasgow brings to the match.
Can Riddle begin his pursuit of the historic trophy with a victory, or will GBOT send him out in the opening round? The road to the Cup starts with a fight against a man who has brought backup.
